Every year, our group of girlfriends, some of us friends since kindergarten, takes a trip together. After nearly 40 years of making travel memories, we’ve learned what makes a great vacation rental, and this home immediately earned a spot on our “Repeat List.”
The first thing that stood out was how incredibly clean it was. Not just surface clean, but truly clean right down to the upholstery, which is no small feat for a beach house with guests coming and going. It was obvious from the moment we walked in that the owners genuinely care about their property and their guests’ experience. To us, it is all about experiences as we get older.
A huge shoutout to the property management team. I’ve stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, and this was hands-down one of the best-managed properties I’ve experienced. Communication was prompt, professional, and proactive. Whatever happens behind the scenes, they make it look effortless—and that’s the sign of a great operation.
The location couldn’t have been better. We loved being able to walk to the beach, explore local shops, grab everything from flip-flops to fun finds, and enjoy both casual pizza nights and wonderful local restaurants. Some of our favorite moments were simply gathering around the large dining room table, sharing meals, stories, and lots of laughter. Lots.
The pool was sparkling clean and became just as much a destination as the beach itself. The provided beach chairs and wagon made beach days easy and stress-free.
And can we talk about the elevator? What a game changer! Hauling luggage, groceries, and all the things that come with a week-long girls trip became “easy peasy.” It’s one of those features you don’t think much about until you have it—and then you wonder how you ever traveled without it.
This home checked every box: clean, comfortable, thoughtfully equipped, beautifully maintained, and professionally managed. Most importantly, it gave us the perfect setting to continue a friendship story that’s been unfolding for decades.
